The CAPE-Ability Club from Lismore scooped the overall award at the 18th Annual Waterford PPN Community & Voluntary Awards at the gala awards ceremony in The Park Hotel, Dungarvan on November 24th.
The CAPE-Ability Club were chosen by Waterford City & County Council to represent Waterford at the 2023 Pride of Place Awards, a national competition.
This prestigious award is presented to the group which demonstrates excellence in Community Participation and Involvement, the judges said: “This group is so inclusive with the range of activities they provide. It is very impressive, the huge scale of activities they have achieved in such a short space of time, it is phenomenal and it shows the real drive and commitment, recognising the capabilities of everyone”
