The Community-Based CCTV Grant Aid Scheme supports communities and local authorities to install and maintain CCTV systems that help improve public safety and deter crime or anti-social behaviour.
Grants of up to €45,000 are available to cover capital costs and minor maintenance for community CCTV systems. The scheme is open to not-for-profit organisations such as community development groups, area partnerships, family resource centres, and local authorities.
Applications must have support from the local authority, approval from the Joint Policing Committee, and authorisation from An Garda Síochána before funding can be awarded.
