Waterford PPN members are encouraged to take part in a national consultation on the Cost of Disability, which will help shape future supports across Ireland.
What’s happening?
The Government is seeking input on:
- A new Cost of Disability Payment to support extra daily living costs
- A national summit (May 2026) to guide future policy
Why it matters
People with disabilities often face additional costs, including:
- Energy and transport
- Healthcare and supports
- Equipment and accessibility needs
This is an opportunity to ensure these real costs are recognised.

- Community and voluntary groups
- Organisations working in the sector

Submissions can be made:
- In writing (email/post)
- By phone
- By video (including ISL)
