SPCs in Waterford

There are five SPCs in Waterford City & County Council (2024–2029 Scheme to be confirmed following public consultation).

The PPN has representatives on each SPC, representing the following three pillars:

  • Community & Voluntary

  • Environment

  • Social Inclusion

Role of PPN Representatives

PPN Representatives perform an important role on behalf of the PPN. They are elected by PPN Member Groups to take part in Local Authority Boards and Committees, as well as some non-Local Authority committees.

In this role, they represent the PPN as a whole, not their individual group.

As an SPC Rep, you will:

  • Work as part of a team with the other PPN reps on your SPC

  • Reflect the views and policies as agreed by your pillar

  • Report back to the PPN on developments and issues
