R671 Ballymacarbry, Co. Waterford
Waterford City and County Council propose to undertake the construction of a traffic calming scheme on the R-671 at Ballymacarbry Co. Waterford. The works shall include the following:
- Reduction of road width to 6.0 metres
- Tightening of junctions between R671 and the local roads
- Introduction of gateway speed limit signs
- Renewed signage including gateway signs and markings
- Build outs and bollards where necessary
- Alternative road surface material at entrance and exit of gateway
- Street Lighting
- Existing periodic speed limit signs to be removed
- Drainage works
The implementation of the traffic calming scheme will create a safe environment for all road users with a strong emphasis on reduction of speed and safe pedestrian access to the adjoining primary school.
