€15 Million Splash for Coastal Communities — Funding Workshops for Waterford Projects!

The €15 million funding round launched by Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) is now open, offering coastal and marine-related project support across Ireland via the FLAG scheme.

For Waterford Public Participation Network (PPN) members and local groups, this presents an ideal moment to propose initiatives that strengthen community involvement, environmental resilience and coastal heritage in the Waterford region.

Workshops across November and December will guide potential applicants through the process — a helpful step to boost chances of success.

To help applicants, a FLAG funding workshop will take place at Azzurro Restaurant, Dunmore East 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on 20 November 2025. It’s a great opportunity for local organisations to learn how to access funding that supports sustainability, marine heritage, and community development.
