Following the success of the 2024 and 2025 Pop in Connecting Communities Roadshows, Waterford Public Participation Network (PPN) and Waterford City and County Council, in partnership with local agencies and community organisations, will host two Connecting Communities Roadshows this March in Waterford. More than 20 stakeholders/services/agencies will be in attendance along with WLR.
The events offer residents, community groups, organisations and clubs the opportunity to engage directly with Council departments and partner agencies. Attendees can find out how to establish community groups, Residents Associations, etc and access funding opportunities, explore the wide range of supports and resources available across community development, age action, health, sport, safety, disability, climate action and lots more.
The 2026 Roadshows will take place on:
📍 Wednesday, 11th March – The Butler Centre, Waterford City – X91FEP4 – 3:30-6:30pm
📍 Wednesday, 18th March – Ballysaggart Community Centre – P51 VK 80 – 6:30-8:30pm
The events are free to attend and members of the public are invited to drop in and speak with representatives from a broad range of organisations and support services.
Muriel Tobin, Waterford PPN Coordinator, said,
“We’re delighted to be working alongside Waterford City and County Council again this year. The Roadshows are a great opportunity for services, community groups and volunteers to meet, network, find out what supports are available and have a chat about ideas for their own organisations and community. It is all about making connections and helping communities to thrive.”
